Current Patient Stories - Cathy Olsen – Acute Leukemia
Nov 11, 2009
Hello dear friends and family,
It is with heavy heart that I am sending this email to let you know that Cathy has passed away late this afternoon. She is resting peacefully in the arms of our good Lord. Thank you all for your kind words, thoughts, prayers and support throughout the last three years. We will keep you posted on the arrangements for her memorial service. Love to all.
God Bless,
Larry

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you, I have been
in outpatient twice a week , and it is quite a distance from home
and Nancy , my sister is in Iowa with her daughter and new grandbaby
so rides are a little more challenging - but I am GREAT - no signs
of GVHD , my kidney function is improving , I actually have engraftment
- WBC of 7000 - they jumped up after a shot of neulasta - but the
% was there and everyone is ecstatic - some meds and restriction
have been lifted but I still get paranoid about germs - I had blood
and platelets just once last week and they have been holding
their own - I go thurs again and may need platelets then-- I'm
trying to pace my self and not get too tired - thats why the Email
is about the last thing I have gotten to around the house--I feel
better now than I did all of last year and am getting stronger
everyday, Cathy
